so we went to Coldwater Canyon yesterday and the boys had such a blast splashing in the cool water! They made some new friends and met up with some old ones. It was a blast having Mom and Rach from Seattle!

So on Monday I was running back in from my lunchbreak and I was just coming back towards the mall entrance when this woman walks up to me. She's like, '...' well, it was in spanish. She busted out in spanish right to me- no 'hablo espanol,' no warning or apologies, she just outright expects that I know the language. As a canadian i spent my prime student years as a french student, and enjoyed the breakfast table review- reading those milk and juice boxes in both french and english. Since i got to LA i have noticed the incredible surplus of Spanish speakers, but I have held to my dream of learning Italian, and am currently working on that. Well, boy did this woman take me off guard! 'Do you know how to get into Macy's?' she asked, which I somehow understood... but could not repeat. Yes, I do- I replied in English.

Hello all. It's been too long since I've last posted. Thankfully, a visit from Nanna seems to revitalize blogging efforts wherever she goes. We had such a fun week with Rachel and Nanna. I don't have any photos of our week downloaded just yet but thought I'd post a pic of Jord and I in our charity shop outfits - O.J. the wise, has always known the treasures which lie beneath the scope of those who refuse to wear used clothing but we have caught the vision and are on board with our captain of thrift. It was a great evening and we had a blast doing some Scottish dancing.

Mom and I were just walking down the streets of Glasgow when we heard a very familiar Scottish sound- bagpipes! These teenage musicians in kilts were awesome.
