Folk Festival

I am going to post about yet another summer festival - Folk Fest!  This is a very popular one in Edmonton.  I was surprised at the size of the crowd that was there when we went! The festival lasts from Thursday to Saturday, and lots of hardcore fans will go all four days.  We just got a taste of it when we went Friday night, but it was a cool experience!  We heard Emmylou Harris and the Guthrie family (descendants of Woody Guthrie), who performed together, which was probably my favorite part.  If you don't know who Woody Guthrie is, you should know this song.  And he wrote it.  When they performed it, they sang the Canadian version of course :)
